Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

A couple weeks ago, a publisher contacted me about a copy of a darling children's book about a labradoodle named Mogie who "works" for a Ronald McDonald House, helping kids get their "mojo" back.  The book is intended for children 4-8 years old and since I have one of those in my house, I thought it would be perfect.  My copy arrived yesterday.

And for this important photo opp, Rosco even got some couch time ;)

It really is a sweet story and illustrates, Mogie, a natural therapy dog, doing what he does best with several children who needed uplifting.  Although Mogie's breed is not mentioned in the book, it is based on a real Mogie who happens to be an Australian labradoodle and really works for a Ronald McDonald House.

So sweet!

Yeah! Well, our experience with doodles is brand new but so far my 6 year old son has become utterly smitten with our 10 month old doodle, Otto. To see them snuggle just melts my heart into a big puddle. :)

Adina, I have a 10 month old doodle Sydney and 2 grandchildren one is just a year old and the other is just two years old Dec. 1. Sydney has loved them and smoothered them with kisses since they were infants and in their caar seats!

She knows how to be lovable and that they are only babies!! When my 2 year old Hayden started to walk Sydney would walk next to her so as not to fall!! It's like she knew Hayden wanted her by her side!!

When they are watching Frozen Sydney will lay in between them and watch with them with a few kisses in between!

I ordered the book.We are expecting our first grandbaby in 2015!!!!!!

Here is our story!

Our Vern is a bit of a scaredy cat, so when he met our grandson for the first time, I didn't know how he would react.  After all, this was the same dog who was frightened of a man sitting in a lawn chair, and we all know babies come with all kinds of "equipment". I had visions of Vern running for the hills when we put up the new toy we bought Archer to sit in. It certainly didn't look like a lawn chair, but sometimes we think Vern needs prescription glasses, so who knew what he would think if he turned the corner too quickly and got surprised. I hated to think one of Archer's first encounters with Vern was watching him wet himself from fright. Well, all my fears went unfounded as Vern took to Archer like a bee on honey. In fact, Fudge and Vern deemed themselves the Doodle babysitters and helped me watch over him and keep him safe.  It warmed my heart to see them shower Archer with Doodle Kisses and Archer's big smile with each lick.  I knew this was the start of something wonderful!

Here is Vern watching over him by sitting on Hayley in the recliner as she held Archer!

Love this picture Laurie!  All three as sweet as can be!

LOVE button ...

So sweet.

What a nice introduction to Dogs Archer has had.

Really sweet image, Laurie

Our baby boy, Cameron, loved our Goldendoodle girl Bella. He is now 5 years old and asks about her often. We all miss her! She was very gentle and we had hopes of her growing up with our kids. Although lymphoma took her from us, she is always in our hearts. I'm sure my kids would enjoy this book very much.
