Leaving my Doodle
I am a student, on the days I go to school my 1 1/2 year old doodle mopes and spends most of the day on the couch, watching out the window for me to get back. In a few weeks I have to go away for 4 days, and I am really worried about him. He will be staying at home, but me and my daughter will be gone. I am really worried about how Indy will react.

I am assuming someone will come to feed your doodle and let him out for toilet breaks. Have you looked into a doggie daycare? Can you ask the caretaker to drop your dog off and pick him up from daycare while you're gone? Alternatively, if there is a doggie friend (and his/her parents) who can dog-sit several hours a day, that could reduce your worries a bit?

Oh, No-my boyfriend will be home with him, and my son, although he is not home a lot. No, Indy will be here in his own place, with the cats and John. My worry is emotional-this guy follows me everywhere I go, and misses me when I am gone.

He should be okay as long as he gets some good pets and "rubdowns" as we call them at our house :) Try not to worry too much. Keep the routine the same - I mean, have your boyfriend feed him at the normal times, go outside, etc...

Indy will do just fine. Our situations are so alike OMG... my boyfriend "John" takes care of my doodles when I travel,he comes to my house and stays so the doodles routine is not disrupted too !!! That is too funny. My Oliver is my shadow and my Sasha is such a Mommy's girl but my doodles do very well when I am away as long as John keeps to their routine. He does say that Sasha keeps her eye on the front door waiting for me to walk in. Indy should be OK as long as he is kept to his routine I would think.
