Looking For a mini goldendoodle puppy

I'm thinking of purchasing a puppy from Lakeshore Breeders in NY and have heard some negative things about them. One of the things is they don't health test their Mothers and Fathers. I just called them and they said they absolutely do health check their dogs. Does anyone have any other info. on them or other reputable breeders in the NY, NJ, PA or Conn. area? Any help would be appreciated. I'm getting so much conflicting info that my head is spinning!!!!! Thank you
