Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

OMG there are two Labradoodles found this evening wandering around together lost.  One is black with grey the other is more reddish cream color.  They are such nice dogs.  I drove around our neighborhood, and the neighborhood behind us.  A guy on our street asked me if I'd lost mine because he knew I had one because he saw them loose.  I'd be going out of my mind.  The were pretty dirty as it has been raining and storming here.  Anyhow the woman said she'll put them in her garage, but she notified the Hamilton Humane Society, and the Vet around the corner.  They were not chipped nor did they have tags.  I told her to contact me if she didn't find their owner so that I could contact the Doodle Rescue.  She didn't want to give me her street number, but I got it and know where she lives and where they are, but that's it.

poor poor doodles! my heart is breaking. Please find them a safe haven soon!! I am too far away to help, but please let me know if there is anything I can do. Keep us posted!
after going through my own recent experience (however brief) of a doodle on the loose I am particularly distraught. I hope they are ok!
I found the contact info of the person in Pebblebrook who bred the litter, she gave those pups mostly to people in those neighborhoods which is why I think they are hers or from her.  I am waiting for a call back

I went back to the house today to check on the Doodles, and there wasn't anyone there, and no sign of the dogs.  I asked the neighbor who was out if she knew anything, and she told me that they should be back in about an hour.  I went back an hour later, and they still were not home, but a boy was playing in the driveway, and I asked him if he knew anything, and he said that the owners had the dog, but that they lost them again which didn't make any sense to me.  He was about 14 or 15.  I'm interpreting it to mean that they lost the dogs again.  I am so mad that I just didn't take them, but as I said she didn't ask for my help, but I tried to help anyway.  I really think that they are gone again, but now I will have to wait until tomorrow to find out because it's too late now to go back.  I've been there 3 times today.  This is very dissappointing.  I can only hope that the young boy was mistaken somehow, but I doubt it :-(  I can only think that they got away from her somehow, but I can't be sure of anything without talking to her.

that is so sad, I am sure they will end up at the shelter. I will help if they are found again.  I am certain they are from the BYB in Pebblebrook, she gave them all to families in those neighborhoods.  Just frustrates me to work so hard doing it right and see these people do this.

I keep hoping that the boy was wrong, but if it's true I hope that that they head this way.  I'm keeping my eyes open.  They were so sweet.  I should have offered to take them.  I told the neighbor that I could help them so hopefully she passes the message on to them.  She really did try to look around, and help find the owner.  She drove up and down every street looking for someone looking for a dog.  I told her to put up a found poster on all corners.  I put a Petfinder ad out right away.  I'm going to go back again tomorrow to see what happened.  I really think she tried.  As I said hopefully the boy is wrong.
Can you tell the shelter to call you if the end up there?
IDOG will likely be called first since they are the official doodle rescue established in the area.  I do not want to be involved. It is hard to do what is right legally speaking.
Just seeing this post now-how sad! At least they have eachother. Any news?
ALERT

THE DOGS DO BELONG TO THE BYB IN PEBBLEBROOK. MY GUARDIAN IS THEIR NEIGHBOR, SHE SAID THE DOGS WERE HOME EARLIER TODAY BUT WENT MISSING AGAIN LATE THIS AFTERNOON. THEY ARE INTACT, NOT CHIPPED AND LAST I HEARD NOT VETTED.

I CALLED AND LEFT HER A MESSAGE TODAY BUT DID NOT HEAR BACK FROM HER. WHEN I AM THERE HER DOGS RUN ALL OVER OFF LEASH WITH NO SUPERVISION NOT A PERSON IN SIGHT. THIS IS NOT NEW.
OMG!!!  So the boy was right!!! Thank you so much for the update, but how did the boy know they got out again?  I'll keep my eyes open.  This is upsetting though.  They are the sweetest dogs.  Moontown road is a very busy road, and they have to cross there to get over here.  So even if we return them, they could go loose again?

@Nobel  What does BYB stand for.  I'm sorry but I haven't heard of that.
