Not sure why.....she is really nipping today and acting spazzy when we try to put her leash on.  She keeps ringing the bell to go out but she doesn't need to go potty.    When I try to sit with her and pet her she nips at my hands and she is nipping at our feet.    She got plenty of exercise today so I don't think that's it.    Any thoughts?

I'm thinking maybe she didn't get as much exercise as you think.  Lots of puppy energy at this age.  It will pass, but in the meantime keep giving her things to do.

To me it sounds like she's being a puppy--Sadie has done all of these things at times. As Lucy gets older she will test you; that might be what she's doing now. Sharon is right--try to keep her busy, and tired. Short (five-minute) training sessions throughout the day are one thing that will help. But when she nips at you, one thing to do is yelp (loud) and then turn your back on her--she has to learn that she will not get any of your attention with that behavior.

Has the holiday season brought about a change in your house?  More excitment, activity or a change of routine?  Any one of these things can throw them off a bit.

Cabin fever? Exitment of the Christmas season?

Puppy Puppy Puppy!!! Good luck!!!
