Lymes Disease advice UPDATE!
SO MY MOM TOOK JACK TO HER VET TODAY...THEYBRERAN A LYMES DISEASE TEST IT WAS AN IN HOUSE TEST THAT THEY RUN WITH A HEART WORM TEST,, IT WAS TOTALLY NEGATIVE? WE HAVE BEEN ASKING MY VET TO SEND A COPY OF THEIR REPORT ALL MORNING AND THEY HAVEN'T YET! I AM SO FRSUTRATED? HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN? I BELIEVE MY MOMS VET BUT MY VET WOULDN'T MAKE IT UP! I AM SO CONFUSED!
I think you are all aware of the massive work up Jack had not that long ago for the Bald spot on his spine....last week they had to redraw his lymea titer because the orginal one was lost.
Of course I am back in the hospital and the vet just called. Jacks results came back 1:64 which is right on the border or positive. Anything at or greater then 1:64 is considreed positive for Lymes anything below 1:64 suchas 1:32 is considered negative for exposure or vaccination.
Jack has never been vaccinated for Lymes this I a sure of. My vet thinks we can do the doxicilln for him.
How do I know if he needs this or not? He is acting fine..he just has been having a hard time jumping on my bed.
I don't know when I am going to go get out of hospital..or evenif treatment should be done.
Anyone have experience with this?

my dog just got a postive lyme as well he is on meds now for 30 days first time for me for my first dog
