Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

We seem to get more inquiries for females than males labradoodle puppies on Long Island and having dos for many years don't really see a difference. Is this confined to the Long Island area or do most people look for females vs males and what do you tell people.

Actually I just prefer DOGS. Only once was I given a choice about sex selection and that was Spud vs. Sister.

Spud was chosen because his red sister was very cranky but if I could have afforded both I would have purchased both. Years ago my Moose was the only chocolate left and he was chosen by color.

All my other dogs came as they were :)

Often people believe that males may be more aggressive. I have not witnessed it skewed to the right or the left. I've seen it go both ways

In my mind the selection process would be:
1. HEALTH
2. TEMPERAMENT
3. SIZE ~~ I like em' large :)
4. APPEARANCE ( white, red, parti, etc )
5. SEX would be last on my list.
