Meet Coco Chanel our newest foster

[Nina, Phil, Harlow & Lacey]

Coco is a 5 1/2 year old doodle.  She was one of 3 dogs (other 2 were Shih Tzu mix) that were owner surrender as they had too many dogs to take care of.  She is a real sweetie who is already house trained and knows her Sit and Down commands.  Coco has spent most of her life only going outside long enough to 'do her business' so she is a little shy around strangers.  She is also learning how to walk on a leash.

 

Here are her 'before' pictures.  I hope to be able to post 'after' pictures in the next day or so.  We are not sure if we find an ALD or an Aussiedoodle under all her mats.  But we are working diliengently to work out as many mats as we can so we don't have to shave her.  Amazingly, she loves being brushed.

It has been 3 days since Coco came to foster with us and I am still working on getting mats out of her. I brush and snip and split until she quietly gets up and moves just out of my reach (her signal to let me know she has had enough). She usually lets me groom in hour to hour and half intervals. I still have 1 front leg and 1 rear leg to demat...But we are making progress.
