this is an email from early this am from Paws to Life:

 

It looks like we may have found a foster but pls keep looking in case something falls through.  Always good to have a backup! Only issue is there has been kenenl cough outbreak at pound so it would be hard to get him to cross boarder.

Kennel cough - she doesn't say he has it - just that he might due to the outbreak at the shelter. When Mickey came home to me - hard to believe almost a year ago - he had a very, very case of kennel cough! He could barely walk a step without hacking - I treated Samantha prophylactically and she never got sick.  I believe it is so worth it to save a life.

 

I cannot thank you all for all the support you have shown for a doodle that didn't even have a picture - which I got this morning.  Thought I would share (how could I possibly resist) this gorgeous little boy!

Oh he's beautiful...look at that sweet face. This is better news this morning. I can't believe that someone wouldn't want to adopt this Doodle. It breaks my heart to see him like this....I'm praying he gets to a foster home soon.

That is a beautiful dood! It's so heartbreaking that he and his poodle buddy (really any dog) are in such a desperate situation. This is why I want to win the lottery...so i could have a private plane and just jet around (with Callie - I hate to leave my baby!) and get doodles out of shelters. Of course, part of that fantasy is having acres of property and a helpful staff so I could just KEEP all these great doods!

The update I got only said about Doodle boy. I couldn't find out where they actually are! I feel kid of dumb but that is all the info I get.

Aw, I would foster them if they could magically make their way to Nebraska. This just goes to show that no dogs- even high-demand ones like goldendoodles and poodles- are safe from shelters and the risk of euthanasia. I hope they will be okay.

My question; " When is there NOT kennel cough outbreaks at the pound"?

I do not work for the boarder patrol but I did try to adopt one of Canada's beautiful doodles. If I remember correctly I needed current shot records which included rabies. I do not think there is a vet stationed there?? <--yes I am being a smarta**
