So....what is it????????
In the first pic, see a rabbit. Compare to the image in the second pic. The camera is mounted to a tree, so the exact spot, and same distance. Bobcat, maybe? Sure isn't a housecat!

I would have said it was a cat. Why you think it isn't?

Garfield!

Big cat, short tail....

I'm not even sure it has a short tail. I think the tail is white and kind of swishing to the other side in this shot, but it's hard to tell.

I don't think it's a house cat? It's so much bigger than the rabbit.

Have never seen a cat in the neighborhood.  Everyone knows, to keep them in, because of the coyotes in the area.  The few that have been left out, never last.

My first thought was maybe, Raccoon.  It just looks waay to large, compared to the bunny.....and they are some really big bunnies.  They are actually Ca. Hares....pretty big....so I just don't think it can be a house cat.  There have been reports of Bobcats in the area, but we had never seen one.

Country people here...body shape is wrong for a raccoon but my instant thought was bobcat, maybe a young one, showed my hubby and he thought the same thing.

Thank you Judy, we have a " country" ;) friend who said the same thing when I showed him the pics.

Could it be a dog or coyote?

No, I don't think so. I have a full memory stick of coyotes....they come through the property a couple of times a week. The only other thing we gotten on the Cam, are hawks and rabbits. I googled imaged bobcats and it looks pretty spot on...that and the numerous sightings of bobcats that are reported in the town newspaper has pretty much convinced us this is what it is.

It can make you crazy for sure.  I'm thinking little Westie, or a cat whose tail is swishing, or just that the rabbit ate a really good meal.

I had this same incidence about 3 weeks ago when Spud and I were out hiking.   I thought at first it was a dog in the distance, but it certainly was some sort of cat out in the tall grass field.  Just an extra  Large House Cat someone dumped in the middle of no where?    It drove me crazy so I blew up the photos when I got home.  Just glad it didnt want me for dinner.

LOL....I'd love to see the Westie with the tail in the last pic! ;)
