I love to read about all things dog.... Love reading about personality quirks and funny things......
I could write a book about Jack and what I love about him.....
Current top favorites.
He is the biggest "tattle tail" ever.... When ever someone is in our yard like when a ball rolled in from one of the neighbors he comes and gets me barking hard.... he has to make sure I get up and go look at what ever it is... Once I look and say okay, he stops.. My little watch dog.
I love how he "communicates" with me by head nodding me around the house.. When he wants something he comes and stares at me and won't stop no matter what until I say show me.. He takes a few steps and looks back to see if I am coming..He nods his head at me in the direction he wants me to go... He can tell me if he has to go potty, wants a walk, or a treat.. and I love how his little butt wiggles with excitement when I follow him around.
I love how he can discern somehow between friends and medical people.. When friends are over he will stay by them and let them pet him then he goes to his "Office" and lays on the bed and looks outside. When the medical professionals that are there to take care of me, even if we are just sitting and talking He sits on top of me and won't leave my side until they are gone.
My number one favorite thing in the world currently about him is when we go to sleep, I shut off the TB and close the iPad.... he then comes and lays his warm body next to me and we snuggle till morning.. I love when I wake up at night he is right by my side, his head on a pillow right next to mine....
SO play along if you want.. what are your favorite things you love about your doodle or different dog if you have them as well.

Jennifer ~ what a great discussion. Reading each and every post just makes me smile. I too love that both of my boys cock their head to the side when you are telling them something. When we say lets go to bed - they are snuggling into our pillows while we brush our teeth - then it is time for each of them to get a tummy rub before lights out. Charlie stays on the bed all night, Beau prefers to be on the cool tile most of the night, but he will come back up several times during the night as if to make sure we are where we are supposed to be - he will give me a quick lick on the check and then go back to his bed - he so sweet. When my husband is reading in the afternoon, it is not uncommon for Beau to jump up on his lap and give him a big kiss on the face and then quickly jump back down and lay by his feet. Charlie & Beau give us so many wonderful moments of happiness and laughter throughout the day - really too numerous to list! Life is so good!
THat is so sweet....
I love everything about our human dog son. He always must be with the pack, when the pack is in two places, he is in the middle of the space somewhere. I love his intuitiveness, he can sense when we are getting ready for work or going to the lake. If we sneeze, he is not ok with that until we tell him "I'm ok" But I think the best has been of recent. We have moved my Dad into our home. He follows Dad everywhere all day long. He sleeps at my Dads feet wherever he is. My Dad has longed for a dog for many years and is so very happy to have Monty around all day. When we leave for work, Monty sleeps outside his bedroom door waiting for him to get up in the morning. Monty is the best medicine in the world for each of us!
I agree on everything you said.....
Gail we have a tv watcher too - Charlie loves to watch tv and he is not choosy! Right now he is watching the Huskies beat Boise State and waiting for the next commercial with a doggy in it! LOL When the commercial comes on, he will get right in front of the tv and give a woof, after the commercial he does a downward dog yoga pose and exhales air loudly. It is comical!
I just love reading about all those precious times each one is sharing with their doodle(s). Thank you Jennifer for starting a discussion that focuses on all the good in our four legged friends - too often we hear about their shortcomings. I get the biggest laugh when Dunbar (who is also a TV watcher) sees the commercial with the Camel going around asking what day it is. Dunbar stalks around the room goes up to DH, barks; comes over to me, barks; then runs up to the TV and barks as if to say "don't you know it's Wednesday!"
