Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I wrote a big long blog about moving the dogs to Hawaii and Kona's surgery update, but it was lost somehow. I haven't got time to recap right now, but I am hoping that if anyone has moving tips for doodles that you will share them with me. We are moving to our son's house for a week and then flying to Hawaii. The dogs are on different flights so DH is flying on the same plane as Kona, and I am flying on the same plane as Owen. They are 90 and 70 respectively so they won't actually be "with" us.
As of this afternoon both dogs are looking mighty depressed. Suitcases are being packed, and it's chaos around here.
The packers come on Wednesday to put everything in boxes. On Thursday they load it into a truck or crate or whatever to ship it overseas.
We have the dogs sleeping in their airline crates. That's all I know to do right now. Sooo, helpful ideas anyone?

I really think as long as the dogs are with you they'll be just fine. What a good idea to get them used to the airline crates now. I really believe that this is going to be a great thing for your family. You've been coping with so much, and maybe Hawaii will bring some relief and "healthy tomorrows". Sending prayers and big hugs.....
No ideas but wishing you lots of luck with the move. Hoping this change of climate keeps you and your daughter as well as can be. Hugs.
DKers... I was expecting some miraculous tips on how to make this super easy for my doodles. If you guys can't think of anything else why didn't you at least suggest ACV????
I was up half the night worrying about the boys. I think I will try to send DD and the doodles to a friend's house when the packers come tomorrow. I cannot imagine them being here during that chaos. Anyone want two giant dogs and a sick young woman to come over for the day?
A glass of wine for the doodles' mom would probably help a lot more than ACV. :)
uhm autocorrect error... practical not practice.
Other than flying in the crate with them, I got nothing. :>) Wishing you all the best on your travels and good health and happiness for everyone in your new home.
No helpful advice here either, but good wishes for a smooth and safe flight and a happy life in Hawaii
