I had to share this video because I find it so inspirational.  Yaeger was a "Craig's List dog" who is now a World Champion and with his "Dad" they are raising awareness and funds for Down Syndrome at the Children's Hospital of Boston.  This is especially meaningful to me since I have a son with Downs.  Be sure to watch to the half way mark when you'll meet Yaeger's little Down Syndrome "trainer".

[BG and Gavin]

Beautiful video Jane. 

Gavin and I met a special needs individual on our walk on Friday.  She was a young women and in the front yard of the group home where she lives.  She very appropriately asked if she could pet Gavin and even more appropriately commanded him to sit, before she pet him.  On my command Gavin shook both paws with her and then, before I could intervene she was down on all fours looking Gavin in the eyes.  Oh-oh, play invitation, this could go bad.  But instead Gavin ever so gently showered her cheeks with kisses.  The young woman giggled and giggled.  When she got up she confided that she still had peanut butter on her face from breakfast, but it was clean now.  I laughed to myself the whole way home!
