Marci and her son shlepped in traffic to go to pull Mr. No Name from the shelter.

Marci finally got Mr. No Name out of the Carson Shelter in LA County - not an easy feat I might add!

They made us both jump through hoops but we persisted, there was no way he was staying in that shelter, and he is now FREE!!

He got his vaccinations and still has to be neutered but that has to wait a little while yet. Have to wait for the wound on his neck (the black under his chin is NOT a collar - it is the wound from an embedded collar that had to be surgically removed) to heal a bit more.

Mr. No Name officially has a name - Kingston!

Marci and Son (sorry, I don't know your name) we can't thank you enough for taking an entire day to save the life of Kingston!!

We can't wait to see pictures and hear how Kingston is doing!!!

Oh Kingston, you are one luck Dood! Now you will find out what care and love is all about!!
HI EVERYONE! Such super kind words from you all, I cried reading them. Today has been a very LONG day for everyone in my family. I have 3 boys ages 10, 5 and 3.5 and between dropping off for daycare, going to the shelter, then to the vet, then picking up from daycare and getting everyone home (I am starved cuz I haven't eaten yet LOL!), I am happy to be sitting down and still. My mom went with me and ended up adopting 2 kittens as they were 2 for 1!

So as Adrianne mentioned, it was a lot of little things I had to do to get him out which took about 4 hours. Once done, he was in the car and we were on the way home...and then he pooped--EWWWW what a fun ride home with AJ and his friend Matt LOL! Once home we took him out and washed him up (he has giardia so his poop is a bit loose) upon washing we saw all kinds of fun things...fleas, burs, matted mess, etc) so I took scissors to what I could then we hit the vet. They got his stitches out around his neck, and he has a big ball of scar tissue (poor guy) and with the exam he was PERFECT! I am in no way exaggerating. He sat quietly, if a new dog came in he was not phased. We had him on the gentle lead to the vet and he walked pretty well considering he was not a fan of the face piece ;). Now home again, we were given the ok for a FULL bath! and that is where I will leave off. Pictures soon to come and more stories to tell.
Oh boy your hands are full. What a good person you are.
Thank you, thank you Marci. Kingston must think he's in heaven.
Happy tears being shed here in NJ! I am so thrilled that Kingston has found a wonderful, loving foster home.
Bless you Marci, AJ and Matt for spending your day saving Kingston!!
I can't wait to see pictures and read how he is doing getting settled into a ' real home'!
Marci, you and your family are wonderful, Kingston knows that!
Marci, you are awesome! I was telling my husband about Kingston tonight and he even got teary-eyed thinking about his poor neck. He is going to heal up perfectly, I am sure of it. Thanks to you!
Hurrah! Kingston is a wonderful name for a kingly doodle. Thank you Marci and Son.
What GREAT news!! I am celebrating with you on this very happy occasion!!
I think the name Kingston...is just a symbol of what his "new life" is going to be...
He will now be living like a "King"...when he was living like a prisioner...
Freedom is such a BEAUTIFUL word!!
I'm sure he is a very thankful Doodle...
Thank you for sharing this great news!!

Here is Kingston after a long day, he found solace hiding in the bushes...
He looks better already.
Wow Marci .... what an amazing transformation! He must really feel like he won the lottery! Now with this day behind you hopefully you can just enjoy little Kingston while he is there and concentrate on getting him healthy and finding him a lovely home. Great job in saving him!
