Marci and her son shlepped in traffic to go to pull Mr. No Name from the shelter.

Marci finally got Mr. No Name out of the Carson Shelter in LA County - not an easy feat I might add!

They made us both jump through hoops but we persisted, there was no way he was staying in that shelter, and he is now FREE!!

He got his vaccinations and still has to be neutered but that has to wait a little while yet. Have to wait for the wound on his neck (the black under his chin is NOT a collar - it is the wound from an embedded collar that had to be surgically removed) to heal a bit more.

Mr. No Name officially has a name - Kingston!

Marci and Son (sorry, I don't know your name) we can't thank you enough for taking an entire day to save the life of Kingston!!

We can't wait to see pictures and hear how Kingston is doing!!!

Blondes always have more fun : )
You are so right - it is us, the human beings that give these dogs the bad luck to start their lives with. No research done with what it means to have a doodle in your life.

I know of 2 gorgeous Doodles, sister, that were dumped in the shelter and asked why by the shelter staff would you give these perfect girls up, this person said "I don't want to pay the expense of their grooming"!!

I have heard the excuses 'I didn't know they could grow so big', I didn't know they had such energy and need to excerise so much, and I have XXX number of kids and another on the way and we just don't have the time' and my new favorite one is 'I just couldn't bond with her because she doesn't really look like a doodle.

So they just get dumped at a shelter. I only met 1 doodle in all my fostering that I did not want to keep. He just didn't click with my girls. Every single other one had some 'issue' but every single one of them, with some trainer's guidance and consistency, would have been overcome.
Marci - you and your family are fantastic people! You took in a boy with No Name and gave him a life and a NAME! I wish there were more like you - ready to jump in at a moment's notice - literally!!

We all pray that someone very soon will see what a wonderful little man Kingston is and decide he is worth the chance he can give them!!
