Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I started to post this as a blog, but figured I would add it as a discussion instead.
I know all about the DRC, but was wondering if there is any group willing to help me rehome my husband. Don't get me wrong, he is a great guy, but he has been making some comments lately regarding my time spent on DK and it has been getting on my nerves. Just the other day, I told him about the Food Group and how some of the members home cook for their dogs and what did he think about me doing that for Fudge and Vern. Well, he almost choked on his Hamburger Helper and then asked if Betty Crocker and Chef Boyardee were also in the group. Next, I told him I had not looked at all of the groups on DK yet, but wouldn't it be funny if there was a group called Bitches and I joined. I told him I could tell all of our family and friends that I was in a group called Bitches and he said he was pretty sure they already knew.
On Tuesday, he was talking about something and I finally said, "Not now, I am trying to find a good butt shot of Fudge to post on Jane and Rooney's discussion," and he said, "I wonder if Olan Mills is still open, just in case." This morning, however, was the last straw. Snicker's mom posted the sweetest blog about her DH and Snickers leaving a note on her car to meet them at the dog park. I was reading it to my DH and told him I would love to have a romantic note posted on my car one day. A little while later, I went outside and found this on my car.
So. here is my question....should I just try some additional training or is is time to rehome him? We have been married 33 years, so I think the expression "Can't teach an old dog new tricks" might apply.

I am sure that they wouldn't get 1 hit!!!
DH was supposed to have my car detailed after we got back from Florida - last April!! Never happened! But - when a foster needs a place to go, he always says yes - of course, with 'a face' and a promise it won't be for long (he won't say it but he gets so attached and hates when they leave). So, for now, he can stay until I find him a forever home! WOL!!
