My mini golden doodle looks more like a mini golden retriever

He is the best puppy ever!! I have noticed as he has grown (he is 10.5 months ), he looks more and more like a small retriever..... no beard, straighter hair.. I wonder wear the poodle part is? Has anyone seen this a doodle that looks like this?

Genetics can be so interesting, especially when you are mixing breeds.  His hair may be curlier a little later on, but it doesn't really matter.  If you really want curlier and longer hair, you might try shaving him down to get rid of the puppy coat.  Who knows what will come back.

That is so funny because one of my guys doesn't seem to have ANY Golden Retriever!  He is constantly mistaken for a Poodle.
