Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hi everyone,
I finally picked my doodle out and I couldn't be happier :) she is so tiny and cute I can't wait till she comes home! I'm just wondering did anyone have an F1b goldendoodle look like her when they were 4 weeks? I would love to see pictures! Also, any name ideas and tips on taking her home (it will be a long drive) I want her to be comfortable not scared! Thanks everyone :)

She's really cute, and already has furnishings! No question that she is going to be a very "doodle-y" girl!

Oh, she is just darling.  I had a F1b goldendoodle, but he was not golden at all.  His father was a phantom poodle and his mother the goldendoodle.  He had the most wonderful coat that was very soft and did not mat at all.  There are lots of photos of him on my page.  Take a look to meet all my doodles.  When he passed on, I wanted another dog like him, but my breeder was not breeding them.  She had a phantom poodle stud but was breeding him with OESs and Bernese Mountain Dogs.  I got a sheepadoodle that has the same coloring as the stud.  I will try posting some photos.  These are MonaChica, Groucho Too and Harpo.

I will go look on your page! Your sheepadoodle is precious! So many doodle options!

What a beautiful puppy!  This is the hardest part - waiting to bring her home!  I discovered DoodleKisses while waiting for Myla and I spent so much time on this site!  I learned so much!  Names are so hard to choose - we spent hours trying to decide - after all, this name will be there forever!  We couldn't agree until we found "Jennifer, Chloe and Myla" on this website and she said "Myla" stood for "My Little Angel" and that totally fit our new doodle as we had just had our last doodle "Zak" die at the young age of five!  If you have a long drive home, be prepared for everything.  Car sickness, homesickness etc.  I would make sure you have lots of towels in case of sickness and be prepared to stop often for breaks - I think it's really important to make every car trip "fun" so that your puppy will always love to go in the car and to me that means stopping often to have a fun break.  There is a lot of information on this site - just go to the search bar on the top right of this page and type in whatever you are wanting to know.  I would also recommend joining "Puppy Madness", "Food Group" and "Training" for starters and then whatever interests you.  This is the best group ever for information on a new doodle!  Have fun!

Thanks so much Wendy that's so helpful. I wil have to join those groups!

Congratulations, surprised you were able to get her at 4 weeks, I thought 7-8 was the minimum ?

She looks alot like Teddy my Toy Goldendoodle at the same age.  Very little hair, huh ?

Enjoy !!!

She doesn't have her yet, lol.

Oops, you're right.  Anyway, here's a picture of Teddy and his brothers at about 5 weeks:

BTW, Gracie, no need to attach JPEGs that require clicking, just use the IMAGE icon (2nd from far left) and it'll include it in your post.

They're so cute! And thanks still trying to figure this website out!

Teddy and his Brothers are Beautiful, they were so tiny. How much does Teddy weigh now?

I get her at the end of February I just picked her out :)

She's cute!  I bet you can't wait!  It's so hard to tell what they will look like at such a young age but you can't go wrong with a Doodle!  Sometimes a name will come to you after you've had her for a few days.  For the long drive, make sure you have plenty of washable towels, blankets and a box or crate.  She'll probably sleep but you never know!

Enjoy that little girl!!
