My "pre-owned" doodle

I am reading about the "rescue" doodle Molly...and I love the term "pre-owned"  I just became the proud owner of a "pre-owned" 6 year old golden doodle.  She has been with us one week today!  So far I have had 2 trainers come to my house $220, doggie day care 2 days for socialization $36, heart guard pills for 3 months until we go to the vet $50, frontline $150?, new collar $30.  Training collar $239.  Bed $50. So when the previous owner wanted $50 for what they considered a re-homing fee  (which I thought was reasonable) I assured her the dog was going to be very well taken care of and she actually waived the fee.  I guess she had some empathy for the dog...or just really really wanted the dog gone.

She told me she was pregnant and had just married her "best friend" last month and it was HIS dog.  She has a pit bull and a 7 year old daughter.  So guess who got to leave..yep you guessed it...her new husband's dog. I think I rescued the dog from the "wicked" step-mother"    So without further ado, I am proud to introduce our new addition, our "pre-owned" gorgeous...and might I add priceless                                                                         Miss Elli

I don't know why anyone would want to marry someone who made them get rid of their dog.....that said, I am very happy she ended up with you. She is beautiful!!

my theory,
The man had the dog before they married. The doodle actually was what the ex -girlfriend originally wanted/owned, he just happened to inherit the doodle in the breakup.

The new girlfriend, now wife, resented the dog because it once belonged to the old lover.

Ha...you may be 100% right...I guess we will never know...she did tell me that Elli was just more than they  she wanted to deal with ...her husband is a runner and the vet notes said he ran with her 3 1/2 miles on a regular basis, you can tell because Elli is in good shape...plus he had Elli microchipped...I doubt if that pit bull would be a good running companion...so go figure.  The lady shaved Elli down because she was matted...But not her cute little face thank goodness

Miss Elli - a win-win situation for sure!  I'd sure keep a pit when I could have a doodle! Duh!  She must really be stupid.   I hope the new hubby came home and dumped her!  After six years!  What a lucky girl to have you forever and ever!
