New Finnegan pictures UPDATE

I got out my good camera and took some pictures of Finn. Some are just after his bath (which he HATED) and a few are with Murphy.
DNA results are pending.

 

UPDATE:  Finn visited my vet today. He has been scratching like crazy so I had her check him and give him his next set of shots. He had a staph infection from scratching so he is on antibiotics for that

and another drug to relieve the itching. She thinks because his coat is sooo thick he may be getting too hot. (he stays inside in the A/C all day. Only likes to go out before 7am or after 8pm when it is a bit cooler.) He weighs 14 lbs now.   BTW her guess was Newfie.

I don't consider that straight at all.  He's got kinks in his coat.  So the hair bends, is what I mean.

One of the pictures you did not post is my favorite.   Finn is sitting on the deck.  Jet Black, Red Tongue, proud as can be!   I think if was the first one.  

My guess is that the DNA will come back as a Canine.   LOVE LOVE LOVE the long hair.   Love the messed up, spikey look.  You know, both my doodles had periods of time when the hair was poker straight.  What a BEAUTIFUL BOY

on another note about black fur in the South..........

Fur not only provides warmth, but also COOLING.   So he said, Finn should be fine in the New Orleans.  Ya'll have plenty of water for cooling also.

He finds every bit of shade outside. Inside, he even prefers the slate hearth to the hardwood floors.

The little guy wants to be cool.

A few of my dogs have slept in the bathtub.   Hard when you are trying to get a shower and they won't get out.  My doodles sleep on the tile floor and Spud sleeps with his head against the toilet!   Looks like a sick drunk but he loves the coolness.

its a lion's head fountain....but with boys that may be a good idea.  The lovely wires (disconnected) in the background are for the second A/C unit

Wasn't looking or critical of the wires but I was imagining a beautiful old brick home in the south.  Looks fascinating!

Opps, we can say that Finn's head is now bigger than a lion's head!
