Just posted a day or two ago about Sophie's procedure. All went well there but . . . More to today's story. Our new foster Jordy came last Wednesday. He's a little 33# mix breed. He had soft stools but I thought it was all the changes including food. But today it was diarrhea and much worse and he was scratching like crazy. So when we went to pick Sophie up after her procedure our sweet vet agreed to check him out. Well . . No good news here. Giardia, whip worms, hook worms. And skin infection! He's gotta be miserable. Vet advises to keep him and Sophie in separate potty areas, he's on three different meds and special shampoo baths every two or three days. Sophie's on meds, have to watch her and maybe use the donut to keep her from licking. Yowza! A little overwhelming. Ok done with my whine now. Thanks for listening. This too shall pass. :-). Hope everyone else's day was better.

Wow, you really have your hands full! Hoping that everybody feels better soon and that you can get some rest!

Here's a pic. Can't seem to get my pics to show in the post anymore??

Hope things get easier for you soon. Thanks for fostering Jordy! Glad Sophie's procedure went well.

Whine away. Sounds overwhelming to me. I hope you get it under control soon.

You have reason to whine - I would be too! Glad all went well with Sophie.  So glad you had this guy checked out and he is now on treatment.  Yikes I can only imagine how crummy he feels. Hang in there!

I'm not a bit surprised that you're overwhelmed.  You're doing such a good thing by fostering...hoping things calm down soon.  Great news that Sophie's procedures went well.

Everything looks better in the daylight. Just reread this post. Pure fatigue. Thanks for the commiseration. Everyone's had their medicine. Sophie is sleeping on the couch. Incisions look good. Jordy is at my feet holding his "baby" and snoozing. Pretty calm on the home front. Thank goodness. I'm planning to give jordy the bath later. I dread it. He was petrified at the vets yesterday. With Sophie I can do whatever she needs because she feels safe and loved and seems to know our intentions are for her best even if the situation is uncomfortable. But Jordy doesn't have that level of security yet and everything is so scary for him and requires us to rebuild trust afterwards. We got the meds down easily this morning but the bath . . . Hopefully we can make it pleasant. Blessings to all here.

Post a picture of your foster.

You are a saint!  I wish you cured, healthy dogs asap

Thank you Nancy. It's a privilege to provide a safe place for them. They bring so much to us. Jordy is doing so much better. He's with a friend today. him. I'm visiting my mom for her bday and didn't want him to have to travel. He gets car sick. She has sent me several pics of him happily playing with her pups.

Sounds great!
