NEW PHOTO CAPTION CONTEST COMING! UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!

I am pretty sure some of you are saying, “For god sakes, Lady, give this contest thing a rest,” but my family will tell you I like to rehash things until they beg for mercy.  Originally, I thought it would be fun to send the large turtle hand around like the HDA trophy and call it “The Helping Hand” or something, but logically the cost of mailing that monstrosity makes that an expensive idea. Luckily, Donna wrote this in the latest discussion,  “I think whoever ends up with the hand should start the next contest, with the hand passed on to the winner, “ and I took the liberty of tweaking this idea just a bit. Please let me know what you think.

 

Leslie (Leslie and Halas) is the winner of the First Photo Caption contest and has won a fabulous I Love Intercourse, PA shirt to keep and wear.   Luckily, I have one XXL shirt left and I talked with Leslie and Adina and this week I would like to send that XXL shirt on to Leslie.  Leslie will be posting the next picture for the next Photo Caption contest some time in the future.  Once she decides the winner of that contest, she will forward that big shirt to the winner after signing the shirt and taking a picture of herself in the shirt and posting it on DK. In other words, we will be sending the shirt to each winner of the Photo Caption contest and they need to sign the shirt, post a picture of he or she wearing the shirt (briefly) and posting the next picture to be captioned. Does all that make sense? Does everyone like this idea or do you have a better idea before we start?  Any rules needed?

 

I have racked my brain trying to come up with a clever title for this game and so far this is the best I can do, so feel free to suggest others.

UPDATE: We have a lot of good names for this contest. So far, it looks like these are the favorites.

Karen, I guess we did not think this far ahead...LOL! There really were no guidelines for that part of the contest. I think you should be free to post whatever picture you think will make for a good caption. It would probably be nice to include your doodle, but not necessary. I guess you would have to get permission from the person (if it is a DK picture) who took the actual photograph, but other than that, have fun!!!

I do agree, Jackdoodle should probably be in the photo. I think I am just trying to get out of having to find a decent caption worthy photo of him, or trying to take some new ones. He just doesn't like to pose for photos, and I am hopeless at taking them.

Karen, I take terrible pictures. For the one I did of Fudge and Vern, I literally went out in the yard, snapped a couple of shots, and came in and posted. Any picture you pick will be fine and if it has Jack in it how could it be bad?
