Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
as many of you know already we were the victims of a scam artist. the breeder we originally paid for an american Labradoodle stopped responding to phone calls and emails once they accepted the payment. im happy to share that we have adopted an Australian Labradoodle from a reputable breeder, who has answered our calls even after we accepted the puppy, last Thursday and hes been Great. Leo has already learnt his name, to sit and down, we are even teaching him to swim. hes a very fast learner.

Congratulations. Enjoy!
Congratulations! Leo is adorable. Very happy for your family. You will have many years of entertainment and love ahead of you!
Saw your video on Facebook and it is darling. Looks like you have a winner! Enjoy, and keep him stimulated. As soon as his puppy shots are complete, get him out in public as much as possible. We also got our ALD at twelve weeks and he has always been a very hyper dog. You need to keep them busy, busy, busy. When you have questions or he is going through his "stages" fire away! You have a lot of expertise (or at least support) here at DK.
I am so happy for you! Your pup is adorable. Enjoy the whole experience. Congratulations.
Congratulations on your new Doodle! He is adorable and sounds very smart too! Hope every thing works out with getting your money back. It is sad there are people out there that are so dishonest!
Congrats! So glad there is a happy ending to your doggie search! Leo is a very handsome boy!
I am so happy for you and your family. Leo is absolutely adorable and I love the video of his first swim lesson. I look forward to more pics of Leo and all of his adventures with your family.
Leo is just adorable!! So glad you found your new family member.
I just happened upon this discussion by chance. I'm pretty sure that the breeder you're discussing is the breeder that my friend got Libby from. I know 3 other people who have gotten puppies from this breeder because Libby is such a wonderful dog, and they are all wonderful dogs as well. The breeder has always been very responsive, even to this day, and Libby is 6 years old. I have communicated with her many times myself, just sending her photos of Libby and one of the other dogs who lives nearby, and she has always responded. I'm sure you had a horrible experience so don't blame you for being upset, but if it is the same breeder, she is most certainly not a scam artist. I would guess that for every breeder out there, you can find someone with a bad experience. It is certainly no way to conduct a business, especially when you are paying such a high price for a puppy, and I can't make excuses for her, but perhaps she really was going through a bad period and you were unfortunate enough to be purchasing your puppy at that exact time. I have looked at many breeders' websites that make the same statements as to the non-shedding qualities of doodles - this is certainly not the only one. And this breeder didn't care if my friend ordered food through her or got it somewhere else if that was the food she chose to feed Libby. I'm happy you found a puppy to be a part of your family, and again, so sorry that you had such a bad experience whether or not it's the same breeder. But there's always another side to every story.
Sorry, one more thing! When my friend got all the papers from this breeder, they were complete with all the genetic testing results and all the info on Libby's parents and the preceeding 4 generations.
Congratulations! I am happy to hear about the good news!!
