I've already reported her to Adina.

Here's the comment she left me:

At 6:55am on August 11, 2018, Ahuva Baginski said…

Greeting to you my beloved one, I'm monica borwn Benedicte.a United State army general from the United States of America i have something to tell you just just contact me with my email monicabrown404020@gmail.com

"Monica Brown" or "monica borwn Benedicte", which is it, Ahuva?

You're a general in the "United State army" and you're in Jerusalem?

I hear the weather is great there.

Just a tip, most people feel uncomfortable when strangers call them "my beloved one".

Don't you wish these people would put their time and talents to good use, i.e. some honest endeavor?

Oh, I understood that. The online conversations probably enhanced the meeting, because you already kind of "knew" each other.

I know at least a couple people off the top of my head who have done the online dating thing and lived happily ever after. It can work! But like you, they weren't long distance online dating. They just connected that way. I have another friend who has a habit of meeting guys online who live across the world. That has not worked out so well for her.

Meeting online seems fine to me. I also know a few people who met through online dating services and are happily married now. But as you said, they lived in the same place, and saw each other face to face. The actual relationship and falling-in-love part happened in real life, lol. The internet was just the way they first connected.

I tried online dating and it was awkward and awful. What do you talk about with a complete stranger? I don't know why I can't just meet some perfect guy at the dog park and live happily ever after. Sorry, my (lack of) love life is way off topic!!

Karen - I have a friend who is suffering from Lewy body dementia. If she still had access to a computer, she may be one that might fall for something like this. Awhile back, she received a phone call from someone claiming to be a computer repair person who was monitoring her computer. He said that for $300 he could fix her computer. She explained that she was “in a home” and didn’t have a credit card. The guy told her to go to the dining room to see if anyone would loan her their card. She did, but fortunately no one had a charge card handy.

I HATE crooks, but especially those who prey on the elderly or the disabled!

Why don't I ever get these messages? I want to be beloved! (we really need emojis - the one where the head is rolling across the floor laughing!)

We actually used to have emojis here on DK. I miss them.

Hahahahaha

Gosh, I feel neglected. I didn't get a personal note from Ahuva!  :-}

Don't give up hope, you might still get one. Despite my messages to Adina, her page is still up. :(((

Hahahahaha

I reported it again so there is a reminder.

Good.
