No Email Notices of New Discussions in Grooming Group (and maybe others?)

I am not getting emails notifiying me when a new discussion has started in the Grooming Group. I DO get emails if someone leaves a comment in the Grooming Group. I just happen to see a comment from a discussion on the front page and realize that I was never notified. It could be happening in other groups as well.  Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Consider yourself LUCKY.  I changed my settings the last time this happened.  Now I get emails if John Doe Doodle sneezes, eats, was groomed, barked, pooped 17 times............. you name it, I get email.   I changed my settings back but to no avail.   I want to say that just today, there were 12 email notifications of people who even LOOKED at the grooming group let alone commented.

But........... for the few groups I started, I get NO email telling me if there is a new discussion or comment.  I have tried to work with my settings on that one.  Nope.

 

You may want to play around with your settings... but beware.  Ask and you will receive over and over and over.

Thanks Joanne!  The Grooming Group is my main concern because as a newbie home groomer I need all the help I can get!! AND I nearly missed out on Barbs Lemon Magic leave in conditioner recipe!!! That would have been AWFUL!!

 

I am afraid to mess with my settings too much. I got a good taste of  email overload with Laurie's "Human" discussion yesterday! Not good.

Well if you could see Starlit right now you may tell me to pay attention to the 113 emails from the grooming group.  You would say, "Hey Girl, you may need to read some of them. "

Okay, I got most of those too. They were all comments from down in the comment area not related to a discussion. What I DON'T get are notices when a NEW discussion has been posted. :(

I can't figure this out either.  Sometimes I get notifications of new discussions in my groups and sometimes not. Or for a while I get notifications of any activity in a group and suddenly  - nothing at all.  It is like my subscription ran out.

That's exactly what it is like!! Maybe it is yet another glitch in the site. Perhaps Adina will check in later and let us know if the techno gurus are on it!!

Hi Adina - as we discussed, I started/created the group Jersey Doodles and for some reason I do not get notification when someone posts on that group.  I do get notification when new members join and I believe I have my page set up.   Any suggestions/comments/advice.  Thanks in advance.
