I know they are not doodle puppies, but these are the babies we saved.. I will be having them at my house for the week....starting Monday.. I am madly in love with them and cried when I saw them today... 

Sara and I will be taking care of them until homes are found, they will be UTD on Shots and neutered and spayed.. We will be using the rescue groups name but picking the homes from the applicants are selves... They should be ready to go when I get back from CO..

THis week they will be with me..

They are absolutely adorable.  I'm voting that 2 dads were involved, LOL.  Jennifer, I can't say enough good things about the good deed that was done.  You are awesome.

They really are cute.  Good luck with their care and in finding just the right homes for them.  Has the vet said the range of how big he thinks they will be?

No, the vet just said they were clear of infectious disease ...like giardia ....fleas and stuff like that.....their cute little paws are not big..but I don't know if that means anything...I am really learning that I have a lot to learn.


I will be posting videos on my FB page if you want to friend me......of course if I know me, some of them may end up on here..but I will add it to this thread as this is not doodles or anything and I want to be respectful that my sheer excitement doesn't mean the whole world cares ..as people rescue all the time.

As someone when I was healthier did and did for people , homeless shelters, women's a used shelters it has been my experience it is always so much more joy in helping...I have not been able,to do anything for anyone in so long..so while it is t much..it means a lot to me.......and I am sure the pups too!

My biggest fear is I am going to be so attached that giving them back at the end of the week is going to be so hard..... However, Sara is the expert here..she is just teaching me. She said she would work with me again with different pups or dogs and co share the rescuing...which is so perfect for me since I have to have a back up if I need to get treatment inpatient.

Yup that is me, always jumping into fires but I don't usually get burned somehow.... Joanne, you would have done the same thing....your instinct to protect gets so strong....   I have the puppy room set up... We have two main areas of use.. one is their play time which is in the kitchen in a puppy play pen, there they will play with toys, eat, and interact with others.. then in my office will be their office other place to go.. She told me I will need two place to keep them because I will always be cleaning one place.. so as I am cleaning that place they can go in the other. I also have a big crate where all six can safely be put in for containment which is what she does at times....  

She said they are all still trying to nurse ...I am not sure what they are trying to nurse but...she is thinking of waiting a little longer then eight weeks before they are adopted....

Also as luck would have it, I have my nine year old nephew this week who is good with pups so he will be able to play with them as well. I have a big fenced in back yard with no chemicals on it that no dog but Jack and Molly have been on so it is safe for them to play in....though I imagine I will bring the play pen  out there.. I have towels lined up, paper towels, puppy shampoo.... ... I am feeling decent this week.....  just wish I could get my house cleaned and organized the way i want it but that has nothing to do with the puppies..and more to do with my getting my butt off the computer. LOL
