Oooh No Finnley !

I love  my Finnley.

 

 She has so much enthusiasm for everything fun in life.

The other day I was at my sister's house. As I was preparing to leave, I put Finnley on her leash. Well, I suppose that I was taking a bit too long with my goodbye conversation. I guess that is when Finnley took that for, if mom is still talking, then why can't Ripley and I keep playing ? It was about that time that I decided that standing on her leash, while I zipped my jacket was a good idea. Unfortunately it was also the same moment that Finnley decided to jump in back of me, to let her cousin Ripley know she was ready to play again.

RIPLEY

 The leash snapped the front of my shoe up, and bent the toe area back and Voilà !!

 Broken big toe... Ouch !

Moral of the story.

 #1 - Don't put big dog on leash, and then not leave right away.

#2 - Don't stand on leash for whatever reason !

 and finally

#3 - Shut my big mouth and stop talking !!

Sure, blame it on the dog. I did to, when I recently broke (?) a toe. My husband has always called me, Grace. Shiela, I wore heavy duty hiking/work boots and the support was amazing. I was walking comfortably in days.

Hey.... I have some work boots. I always used to wear them in the winter, and loved them. They didn't have traction in the snow though. After about the 5th fall on my butt  I retired them. However, there is no snow right now. I'm off to look for them. Thanks Joanne !

I have had mine on since. Men's Timberland anti fatigue -heel. I'm not pretty, but hey, some boots are in style now. I'm comfy.
My toe is no longer green/black/blue but is still twice the size. I feel no pain in my big ugly booties. Maybe that's why Flat Laurie wears funny shoes too?

Oh, Sheila, I feel your pain.   Doodles are dangerous. 

Haley was about 6 months old.  Going into the vet's he was pulling and took off on my foot.  Results one broken little toe.

My doctor though it was (without xrays) out of joint and tried to pull it back in.  Then he sent me for xrays and it was broken.  It still hurts when wearing closed shoes for awhile.
