I'm posting this video, which I think was posted before, possibly by me, not for the video, which is great, but for the ad for Orapup. It sounds like a great idea to me but I don't think I'll necessarily preorder.

Okay, it this means that we don't have to brush the dogs teeth and they will lose the plaque, I'm so in! I noted that it hasn't started to be sold yet though. I might wait for a few reviews. Thanks for bringing it up. If anyone gets one let us know what you think! I'm tempted.

The ad looked kind of amateurish to me, so I did a little digging. You'll find this interesting:

A 75 year old inventor, Dr. Bob Wagstaff who spent 8 years to bring his invention into market as well as spending over $40k on an infomercial that only sold about 100 orders wants to thank YouTube for giving him the chance to make something like Orabrush possible. Orabrush is a tongue cleaner that has specialized bristles that will reach down into the indentations of the tongue to loosen and remove the bacteria growing there without causing harm on the tender tongue surface.

Dr. Bob Wagstaff approached some big company names but they are not interested. It did not stop Dr. Bob to make some more efforts until in 2009; he went to the Marriott School of Management at BYU and asked a market research class to see if they could come up with new ways to market the product online. A student group presented a conclusion that 92% of the people who would like to try the product will not buy Orabrush online and suggested to drop the idea of marketing Orabrush on the Internet.

Jeffrey Harmon, a student who is not part of the project told Dr. Bob to focus on the remaining 8% which is equivalent to millions of people that will perhaps buy the Orabrush. Harmon’s idea led Dr. Bob’s Orabrush into a huge sensation when Harmon orchestrated a marketing scheme video on YouTube garnering millions of views, and bringing Orabrush to the attention of major distributors and retailers. With the help of a student, together with the creative team of the original Orabrush video and YouTube that gave way to this invention, Orabrush is a small business success story.

Nuts. I was thanking you and saying I am one of the 8% now.

Gremlins again, F.

LOL!

Oh, and some info on "Dr Bob Wagstaff" that will explain the BYU connection.

Biography

Dr. Robert Wagstaff – "Dr. Bob" – is founder and chairman of Orabrush, and inventor of the Orabrush tongue cleaner. A biochemist and nutritionist by education and training, he was serving as a mission president for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (i.e. the Mormons) in the Philippines when he received complaints about the bad breath of some of his missionaries. Realizing that the effects of bad breath were not confined to his missionaries (or those with whom they interacted), Dr. Bob used his scientific bona fides and know-how to root out the problem at its source – the tongue!

His study of tongue scrapers, toothbrushes and other oral hygiene products on the market showed that none of them were capable of properly removing the bacteria that was the primary cause of bad breath, so Dr. Bob devised a tongue brush with individual soft, flexible, pointed bristles and scraper necessary to reach and remove the offending bacteria.

The ultimate result was the creation of the most innovative and effective tongue cleaner ever created – the Orabrush tongue cleaner. The global Orabrush phenomenon is a tribute to Dr. Bob’s ingenuity and persistence – it was his idea to seek out the contributions of the 20-something Millennials who developed the marketing campaign that catapulted Orabrush to international online superstardom.

Dr. Bob holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in poultry nutrition from Utah State University and a PhD in biochemistry and nutrition from Washington State University. He was granted a U.S. patent (#6792642) as well as FDA approval (#3005936367) for the Orabrush and has also received a worldwide registered trademark for the name Orabrush. Dr. Bob continues to contribute to the growth of Orabrush by working on new companion Orabrush products that will be introduced to the market in the future.

More interesting stuff. Keep digging Karen, you are a force to be reckoned with we know. But then so am I. Here is the list of ingredients for the human version. The xylitol would have to be eliminated of course.

Where's the list?

Amazon website and I knew you'd ask after I posted : ) Orabrush for humans is sold there and the pre-order for Orabrush for dogs is through Amazon, which gave me some confidence in ordering.

And don't you love that he has a BS and an MS in poultry nutrition?

Rats, rats rats. I just wrote a ling reply. But not again!!!I am going on strike. Suffice it to say the last sentence was that maybe Dr. Bob knows a thing or two about nutrition in general.

I may be miss reading the info but I thought the poultry nutrition was his Bs but his MS was in nutrition and biochemistry. Not that it makes a difference in designing a brush to scrape crud off a dogs tongue, but anyway.... it's not all chicken food. It may take a lot of pecking to figure out if it is good for the dogs though.
