KiKi cat has diarrhea. I was cleaning her litter box and she went in to go potty. What should I do? I can't get in touch with vet till tomorrow. I did notice that last night she did not eat her can food and the same thing this morning.
I would take her to your emergency vet to be safe, you do not want her dehydrating which can be seriously bad for a cat. Dehydration can cause a cat to quickly become dangerously ill. Diarrhea in cats means that they are loosing electrolytes. It could be nothing and it could be something serious, but just to be safe I would take her to the vet and not wait till tomorrow.
I took her into the vets. She has no temp. She had her shots on Tuesday evening and that may be the culprit. That is when she decided she really did not want her food. Anyhow, vet gave her a pill for vomitting and to increase appetite. He used a syringe to get a bit of science diet a d food in her. Sends me home with 2 cans of food and another pill to give her on Tuesday. Get home and she starts throwing up and pottying again. Lots of throw up. Called the vet. He said he believes it is from the shots, but if she does not get any better to bring her in on Monday. I'm stumped. How can a pill to stop vomitting have her doing it so much??
