Just thinking about our wedding in May and was wondering if it is totally dorky and weird to have Parker as part of the day as I would love to have my baby in my photos since he was part of the engagement shoot! I could get him a nice bow-tie and he could be my ring bearer?? lol

His trainer from his puppy classes actually offers this service and since everything else is so upside down with my wedding planning and my parents probably not even coming, I felt like doing something fun. The original theme of the wedding was supposed to be FUN anyway because we decided to get married next to a carousel.

I don't know...I don't wanna be one of "those people" as people have said to me but I guess I will see...I gotta see how much the trainer charges to transport him and get him ready because we have a super budget now that we are suddenly paying for everything now because when we signed all the contracts, my parents were going to pay 50%. OY

Pictures of my photogenic dood from our engagement shoot this summer.

UPDATE: The dog trainer who could deal with Parker was okay financially but happens to have another wedding on the same Friday night as ours! There goes that!

What wonderful photos. Of course, being on DK I think having Parker as part of your wedding is a fabulous idea! Even if it doesn't turn out the way you have it planned in your head, you will love having your boy as part of your big day. What does DF think about it?

Hey he definitely should be in the wedding .He is adorable and part of your family.many years ago friends of ours had their labrador in the wedding party.

Congratulations

Do it, do it, do it!!!!!  He is part of your family and life.  I can think of nothing sweeter and more fun than having my Doodle in the service.  It is your wedding and your memories so do what you want and don't listen to any of the naysayers.  I would do it in a heartbeat.  Also, maybe your trainer can not charge you but instead give it to you as a wedding gift.  He wouldn't charge you if you invited him to the wedding so why not just have him bring a guest...Parker Pup!!!!  lol  Weddings can be so boring and stuffy...having Parker there will lighten it up and make it fun just like you want.  Congratulations and be sure that when the wedding is over you send us tons and tons of photos!

Do it, don't even question it. Our daughter had her beagle boxer mix in the wedding...she did fabulous. Here is a photo of her with her specially covered harness - made with the same material and daughters wedding dress...also one of her posing with the couple. Just make sure you have someone else take the responsibility of getting Parker home afterward.

Love the engagement photos - Parker can where a vest and tie!

aww love it!

Oh my goodness, this is adorable!

OMD you HAVE to do it now! We all support you!

When is the wedding and how long before you have to order this before it comes....Parker is still a baby so he will be growing leaps and bounds.

The wedding is May 4th and this website says it ships within the USA so it shouldn't take too long to get it here...I should be able to order it within a few weeks of the wedding if they still have it in stock. Though he has not grown much in months...we tease him and call him a mini doodle!

We are hoping to find someone who will be willing to bring him for the ceremony and photos and then take him back home to the dog sitter. The hotel is dog friendly but he hates being alone so he'd be better off with the dog sitter than he would sitting in the hotel room by himself while we are at the reception!

Sophie came to the hotel (it was pet friendly as well) I wanted to take her home but they would not have it, she stayed all night.

We did not have Daisy yet so she was my baby.

I would happily keep Parker with us in the hotel but for the time he is alone, he probably would be barking in the room! He hates being alone! Lol though we have pretty much blocked the whole hotel off for that night so if it was mostly my guests in the hotel then no one would be in the rooms at that point anyway!

Plus I think his dog sitter is looking forward to some one on one with her grand dog lol
