Pet peeve, literally and figuratively

People come on DK all the time to ask advice. Sometimes they are new and sometimes old members. All fine. But if you come on because your dog is really sick and ask advice and don't give any feedback that is very frustrating. We care about your pet even if we don't know the dog. We like to learn for future reference. If your dog, heaven forbid, died we can understand your delay in responding but otherwise it really is bothersome and downright rude.

I am sure other have pet peeves on DK, feel free to vent.

I'm afraid i've become one of those people who only posts when there is a problem or I need something. At least I feel that way and have been self-concious about it. So I am now responding to this post to prove that I'm still a conributor :o) - does  this count?

To be fair, I understand there are different levels of contribution.  There are valued member of this community who rarely post on the front page but are very committed to certain groups whether it be the food group, the medical group, the breeders group, the therapy dog group etc... and their contributions within those groups are invaluable.  After all, not everyone has the luxury of spending as much time on DK as they would like.  When I am at the cottage and away from the internet I have a couple of groups that I feel committed to (training and therapy and cottage doodles) that I ensure I check in on.  Stuff on the main page passes by too quickly for me to keep up when I can't get to internet access for days on end.  If one of the "givers" posted "I need help" on the main page, I am sure you would be right there for them Sherri.

Yes, I agree F and also with what BG added but I have also been on the other end of it where I posted updates and no one responded which left me thinking no one cared if I updated. So I haven't been very good about updating lately.  Am I too sensitive? :)
