Please save me from myself!!

I went to PetValu to buy kitty litter and there was a 3 year old cat from the humane society there begging to be taken home. She was so pretty and affectionate and playful and my Kitty would have just loved her.

It would be completely irresponsible and impulsive for me to get another cat. I can't afford anymore pets, not to mention the fact that I am turning into a crazy animal lady. The pet store clerks reminded me that we are alowed 5 per household in this city. grrrrrr.

I need to be talked down fast! let me hear your best "no-more-kitties" argument!

I have a ' Go To' Person.

Each time, I write my friend, a DK member, and ask her to look at this adorable puppy that I would love so much.  I promise to write her each and every time. About once every three months, she gets an email from me.    She then tells me the key words I told her long ago as to why I should/should not get an animal at this time.   It all makes sense and I am okay after I write to her.

So, have a friend you can consult when you have an impulse

I have even thought of going behind her back and just ' Happen to Get this puppy, too late now, sneak it in... ect"

I have planned it all out. But then I know, I would have to face her forever and I just can not do it.

She would certainly lose respect for me.   I promised.   HA.  Funny, but honestly, I works.

Are your dogs okay with the kitty litter boxes? My dogs love kitty "treats" and are always looking for them in the garden. I have never tried a kitty litter box in the house.

They used to until I got a cover. Everything was fine until sophie not too long ago figured out how to stick her head through the little trap door in the cover and started eating the treats all the time. Then I had to postion the littler box in such a way that only kitty can access it (basically between the wall and toilett in the powder room, with the opening facing the back wall, so Kitty has to jump over the toilett to get in and Sophie can't fit. If she figures out how to move the litter box and turn it around then I'm screwed, lol.

 

Kitty litter is just one of the grossest things in the world in my view. It is my second least favourite pet chore of all time, second only to cleaning up doodle diarrhea from the carpet, which thankfully I haven't had to do in quite some time. blech.
