Post menopause and broody ?

I'm just wondering if my age has anything to do with how 
much I want this puppy. Empty nest syndrome or what.

The other plus of having Daisy is I am not driving my daughter to now give me grandchildren....I can wait cause I am nurturing my dog.

I am not in menopause but I can not have children..... I for years and years have needed to have a hysterectomy for many reasons but I could never bring myself to,  Now that I have Jack and my extreme desire to nurture has been fulfilled I am more at peace with it.

 

I think we in general need something or someone to have that is ours, that we can love, take responsibility for, someone if you live alone to come home to, or someone just to nurture. I love everything about having Jack. For me, I know full well, I never wanted to pass my genes on to a child and now with my energy being not as good as I wish. Having Jack and only have a short time to go through the puppy stages as opposed to a human child was God's perfect plan for my life. I also make a joke about him being a better choice then a human child because I can leave him home alone at two!!
