I just have to brag because I know you guys will understand why I'm so proud of Rocky!!

 

My mom brought her Yorkie over last week to play with Rocky.  Normally that goes great and the dogs have a blast, but my mom's dog recently figured out he can jump on the couch.  This made him eye level to Rocky and he would just bark and bark and bark - which is annoying!  Rocky gets bored with this and will go lay down - which causes my moms dog to yap louder.  Rocky ends up going over to investigate but when he does - then Tjay gets all worked up and the barking goes into snarl and growl and he tries to bite Rocky on the face. 

 

My darling Rocky did not even react.  I held my breath because Tj is ONE bite for Rocky.  We might have had a serious problem before we could blink an eye.  But, nope - Rocky just kind of backed up and came over and laid down at my feet.  He didn't leave my side for the rest of their visit.  He was just not going to engage with TJ anymore after that.

 

TJ got way too big for his britches and my mom babies him a LOT and so her corrections are not that stern.  I'm SO relieved Rocky didn't react negatively to TJ's behavior!  He was such a good dog and just walked away!  Just like I tell my kids - if someone is trying to pick a fight with you then you WALK AWAY!!  Good job Rocky!

Thank you guys!  I was so happy!!  Since we have only had Rocky since last September and we got him as an adult - there are still things about him we don't know - so this one was one of those things.  I was so proud of him!!
