Puppies Weight..When do they start slowing down?!?

When do puppies start leveling out at the weight they are going to be? Just curious. LIttle Harry just went for another vet visit and he is a whopping 18lbs! he gained 5lbs in 3 weeks!! He is 4 months old now, just curious when its going to start leveling out and slowing down. On average he has been gaining about 1lb a week.

Wilson gained weight rapidly during his very young puppy years he is 13 1/2 months old we took him for a weight check yesterday and he is a whopping 75 pounds, But he gets plenty of play time and long walks, he doesn't seem to be as hungry now as he did when we was growing so fast. Well I am not sure what the answer is to that, but I just got back from the vet with Ollie this morning, and he weighed in at 21 1/2 lbs. He is a golde doodle, that is 14 weeks old. He gained 6 lbs in the last 2 weeks, lol, but he is a joy most of the time. Someone once told me that they finish grwoing at a year, but not sure about that. I believe I read somewhere on here that if u double their weight at 4 mos, and add 10 lbs, that is what they should end up weighing....

holy moly i have no idea do you know how much his parents weigh....??? i thought they slowed down after a year so you might have a ways to go.....

Rosco gained 10 lbs per month (30 lbs 3 months, 40 lbs 4 months, etc) until he hit 8 months and leveled off at 85 lbs. He now ranges between 80-85 lbs with 80 being ideal for him.

I am curious about this too...Peri is a mini and has been gaining 1 pound a week - she is 3 weeks younger than Harry and is about 12 or 13 pounds now. I do think the minis start slowing earlier than the standards. Don't they usually reach their max weight a bit earlier? I have always heard that about smaller dogs. But really I don't have a clue!!! :)
