You must be so excited! It's been a long time since I brought Myla home but I'm pretty sure that for the first week or two you should stay on the same food that the breeder was using. Then gradually transition your puppy to the food that you have chosen to use. Join the Food Group and you will find a list of the recommended foods to use for your doodle plus a wealth of other information regarding foods. I would also recommend joining Puppy Madness group - so much to learn and it's all there! Just click on the "Groups" icon at the top of the page - there are a lot of different groups! Have fun!!!
Yep, it's imperative that you stay with the food the breeder was feeding for at least two weeks; after that, if all is well with digestion and stool, you can switch. Here's a link to our recommneded food brands list in The Food Group:http://www.doodlekisses.com/group/thefoodgroup/forum/topics/recomme...
You don;t necessarily need a "puppy" formula; many brands only make ALS (all life stages) formulas, and those are fine for most puppies.
