The DRC has been asked to assist in an Amish Puppy Mill surrender of approximately 35 dogs with a few doodles. Jeannine Smith, my daughter MarissaTait and I will be leaving 4:30am Saturday
for the 3 hour drive to Lancaster PA

I don't know any of the specifics as to why these 2 brothers are surrendering all these dogs but we are all grateful that they are!

Does anyone in the Lancaster, PA area know of a vet that is open Saturday mornings? We will be giving the doodles a capstar (for fleas) immediately but we would like to have them checked out by a vet and give them vaccines before they go to their foster homes.

Please keep all these dogs in your prayers that they have no real health issues that will affect them in finding their forever homes.

He looks so happy!  I can't imagine what he's been through!

Simply gorgeous!

Lisa - Harrison just totally stole my heart. I wish........................

Oh my goodness, and his name is FABULOUS - what can I say, he us just stunning. Like Karen said (and I am closer Karen) it's too bad he is so far away. If I could I certainly would.

If he needs to be shaved it will be fine because he clearly is a survivor. Here's to him having a wonderful forever home soon.

He looks big Adrianne, how big is he?

Gorgeous doodles. So glad you saved them.

39 dogs in all were rescued from this mill. Here's some info from Jacquie:

PUPPY MILL RESCUE! -- Special thanks to Laura Flynn-Amato & Denise DeMarco from No More Tears Rescue for saving all 39 of the babies from an Amish puppy mill in Indiana! Also special thanks to Faye Jenkins & Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue and New Holland Veterinary for all of their help with the initial vetting of these pups, and all of the other rescue organizations that volunteered this morning and took so many of these babies into their programs. Lastly, very special thanks to DRC's own Jeannine Smith and Adrianne Matzkin, who got up at the crack of dawn to assist with unloading, supervision and transport; DRC's own Laurianne L A Brickner and Janet Bandics for fostering these pups and to everyone who donated to the cause!

Joy!  Thank you so much Adrianne!  They are gorgeous!

OMD, WHAT a beautiful boy!!! And such sweet pups!!!!  I'm tearing up at that face!!!  So happy to see that they are in good shape, knowing what could have been :)  I just made my donation (my computer was acting weird yesterday, so I hope it went through this time).  Thank you Adrianne and thank you DRC!!!!

He is gorgeous. His coloring reminds me of Halas. I can't wait to see him and the girls all cleaned up!
Anne - he is handsome inside and out. Jeannine and I were shocked just how good he is!

Awww, they're beautiful. Thank you for doing what you do!
