I run across tagging errors now and then and I thought I should give you a heads up so you get your tagging correct.
3 COMMON TAGGING MISTAKES:
1) NOT leaving spaces between words: labradoodlemultigenchocolatelakeboat -- when creating your tag line always separate words by a space between each word or a comma, between each word.
2) Misspelling words: now this is not a big deal and it won't affect your standing in the contest... But it does keep your picture from being found when people do searches in the photo page. "Minature" and "Miniature" will not turn up the same photos. Also, when I make slide shows it means I have to think up all the possible misspellings in order to find photos that are tagged for each week's slide show.
3) WIT & Creativity: tags are not sentences or phrases or cute sayings... They are just a bunch of words you list that refer to the photo (or the discussion or the blog you are tagging).
Wrong Tag: "Rosco and Thule are the silliest sweeties ever!" -- this is wrong because:
a) the tag will be put in alphabetical order and will look like
this: "and, are, ever,Rosco, silliest, sweeties, the,Thule" -- because the tag function doesn't
think about whether you're writing a statement or not, it just organizes the descriptive words
in alphabetical order.
b) the words: are & and & ever & the--these don't say anything about the photo, they are dead words.
Right Tag: Rosco, Thule, labradoodle, F1, smiling
So to make your tags work (i.e. Make your photos searchable and find-able [not a word?]) be sure to use single words (separated by commas or spaces) that each, individually, say something about the photo.
