I rang up a behavioural dog trainer today to come and work through a number of issues we have with our doods (mainly excitable, jumping up, not coming when attention is elsewhere etc. - nothing aggressive).  Now they obviously won't say much over the phone (until you;ve paid them) but he did say that they look at the whole dog - including their diet.  Well I said that the dogs were fed a raw meat diet to which he replied that that could be part of the problem.  That raw meat could be acting like red cordial to a child..........   I was under the impression that raw food was a great diet (it was what the breeder recommended).  Has anyone heard of this before?????  is it one more doodly thing for me to worry about.........

Thanks

It sounds as if the trainer may be against feeding raw under any conditions. If this is so, you might look for another trainer who is open to various diets.
You know, on second thought let's have a round of cherry cordials for all of us, kids and dogs too! We won't care about hyperactivity or jumping or.... LOL
