So Chewie has started chewing up anything stuffed. He loves squeaky toys...holds them in his mouth squeaking them as he walks around, but if it's soft and/or stuffed, it's now trash...LOL. He had the Hide-a-Squirrel...loved it...two of the squirrels are destroyed. He had a Skin-Eez...really loved that...just tonight, chewed off the end.

What toys have you found your doodles to love that have proven to be durable? He of course loves his bully sticks, flozzies, etc, but can't have those all the time.

TIA for your suggestions!

We have the same problem with Tori. She even actually tore apart a bed that was supposed to be indestructible. Well... it took all of a few minutes to tear that. We stick to hard plastic balls and she loves the nylabones. We stick them inside the end of her Kong. She loves to carry them around like a cigar - LOL. It also makes it easier to hold on to - even tho' she doesn't have opposable thumbs. Even though she thinks she has hands. Santa brought her a KONG Frisbee. It's soft and small enough to throw lightly in the house, but I wouldn't dare leave her alone with it - even though that too is supposed to be indestructible.... I love the puzzle boxes but they are very pricey and I'm afraid they may not be worth it...I'll be interested to see what others suggest.

Charlie has this rope bunny. It does not squeak, but very durable. She also has this very hard rubber squeaky toy. She loves both of them.
Hmmmm.... Tori had a rubber bally thing like that too. In about 30 minutes of tossing and catching, the leg separated from the body. Should have brought it back, but tossed it out instead. The rope toys ~ shredded too. NO toy should be left to play with unsupervised, but these didn't even last while we played with her LOL. Think I'm going to design and manufacture some type of toy that is "Tori-proof". Maybe we should change her name to "JAWS"
Oh!? Yikes!
LOL
Be careful with the top toy. Guinness had the same one and was able to chew off the feet in no time. Once chewed off they are the perfect size to swallow and choke on.
Oh, I got Max that red ball thing...it "used" to squeak, but not anymore. I think Max only tore one of those ear things off but other than that, that ball is super fun for him!

I am sooo glad this thread was started because Max is quite the chewer as well. Whenever he gets a new toy or rawhide, he'll chew it until he destroys it. He loooooves the squeaky toys, but unfortunately they're such a waste of money for me cuase he's able to tear into their stuffing within 5 minutes.

I recently purchased a "durable" red-colored plastic (kind of like a nyla bone but not really) bone toy at walmart. The package read for 'chewers'...which I always make sure to read what size dog and what quality the toy is since Max is an avid chewer. In any case, he broke it apart in 7 minutes flat....i was so annoyed. It's frustrating because then I have nothing for him to play with. All he pretty much gnaws on now are rawhides, but they make such a mess on my floors - and always remember to "walk carefully" after they've chewed on them cuz those little shards of rawhide are quite sharp!
There is another small discussion about this - I have the same problem!!!!!!!!!!

I had gotten Lilly at Target "The Big mean kitty" . It is made of canvas and she has not been able to put a hole in it yet!! They also have Fish shapes and other shapes too. They are about 12 inches long and we can play tug-of-war with the legs and they don't tare. She also has a "unstuffed" rabbit-(the kind that look like they are skinned) that has a squeaky in the head and tail and has not put a hole in that one either.
I have been trying to find The Big mean kitty. I couldn't find it at Target online and they also didn't have it in my Target store. If anyone finds it, maybe you could post where.
Thanks for all the replies...I will definitely check previous discussions. He has that ball with the feet...never looks at it. He must be quite particular...have paid $8-9 for a toy that he won't play with. I would love to "refill" his toybox (it's getting quite empty...LOL), but don't like throwing money away either.
