I am not making light of the recent scary clown sightings, because I would not be happy to see Bozo standing in the woods behind our house, but after my dog's recent grooming, I am seeing two clowns everywhere I look. It's my fault, not my groomer's, because I told her I wanted their hair short. I get so tired of seeing hair in their eyes, that I told her to make it very short on top and around their faces. She did exactly what I told her to do. Be careful what you ask for especially if you don't know the first thing about dog grooming. Luckily, my biggest requirement when I take them to be groomed is that they be returned to me clean, especially Vern. I don't stress over hair styles, but I think I may butt out on our next visit and tell her to go back to doing what she has always done. Meanwhile, here are my two clowns.

Vern

Fudge

I rest my case...

For the time being, they will be wearing disguises until their hair grows back :)

Oh I love the witch look much better! See, he already looks much better! :) Great picture and perfect pose!!! So jealous :( Cooper WILL NOT let me put anything on his head!

Well, it takes a lot of practice tries before she keeps it on her head :) Thank you!

Fudge makes a beautiful witch.  I with you on the haircuts, but know their hair seems to grow back over night! I have been contemplating shortening ears - but just cannot ring myself to do it!

I am not really upset, but I will be happy when it grows. LOL I told her to shorten up the ears, too. Vern was starting to look like a Basset Hound.

Welllllll....... They don't look horrible, just not like themselves.  I do like their disguises though.

Thanks, Nancy!!

Well, you did get your money's worth this time! LOL  I do see the resemblance to the clown-Fudge even has the smile down!  I love the lion outfit and really love the blue unicorn. I think it has sent Fudge into Princess mode, she's looking very regal!

Thank you, Ricki. Yes, I did get my money's worth and I learned a lesson. Try and keep my mouth shut :) Princess is one word I can think of to describe Fudge, but I have some others, too.

Awww....I love that you can see their eyes now.  Fudge is looking pretty humiliated in that "unicorn" headpiece....like if she closes her eyes it won't be real.  Your Doodles are such good sports....my guys would not go along with any "dress up ideas"...even for Halloween.

Thanks, Jane. She is squinting to get her point across. Vern is a great sport. Fudge likes to make her point. LOL

Oh my!  I feel your pain...however even though my groomer sent Skadi home to me with scooped out eyes and a shaved snout... reminding me of a Rhesus monkey with Moe-like fringe bangs...she did smell good!  But, you are right...that's not enough, along with..."oh it will grow out in a couple of weeks" from DH to pacify me...I had to have many many talks with her groomer until she was sent home with a "tolerable" cut even though it was short.

Your kids are still beautiful...don't pay any attention to the picture of Larry...

LOL....I actually had Googled the Three Stooges. Vern has had that haircut, too. My groomer was doing a great job and then I opened my mouth. Lesson learned.
