Recommendation for kennel in Monterey, CA

We will be vacationing in Monterey, CA and need to board our dog for the day while we visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium.  We have boarded her locally and she does great with other dogs and is current on all her vaccinations.  Does anyone have any recommendations?

Hi - we live near there and use The Dog House Inn in Gilroy. So depending on which direction you are coming from they might be an option as well -and they are terrific! http://www.thedoghouseinn.com/

We ended up taking Alma to Dawg Gone It in Monterey. It was located on our way to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The place was spotless and the owner and staff were very friendly. We were glad to have a nice place to leave her while we were out for the day.
