Reflector for night walking?

It's getting dark here before 5 pm, so I'm thinknig I need to buy a reflector/light for night walking for Bentley and myself..does anyone have a good one? If so, where'd you get it.

The other night, I was driving and didn't see a biker on my mother's road..could've easily hit him/her..so now I just want to make sure we are being safe.

My husband actually made our vests for me and my Goldendoodle Hunter and they work better than any vest we tried from any store - and we tried MANY!! He got me a safety orange vest from a sporting goods store - the kind that hunters wear during hunting season - then he bought reflective tape and he made the outline of a stop sign on the back and then slash stripes alll around the rest of the vest. For our goldendoodle Hunter he bought her a dogs safety orange hunting vest but then also bought safety orange fabric to make somewhat of a bib for her front chest area to make the fabric area larger to see from the front when cars come towards us also - then he put the reflective tape all over her vest and bib too. I swear our neighbors comment on how well they can see us walking in the dark and we live in a very dark neighborhood. I also carry a flash light turned on while I walk. Good luck!!!!!

Got this in an e-mail today and thought I'd add it to this discussion. Even though it is summertime and not dark early, we are all walking later in the evening because of the heat.
