Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Yesterday, there was an article trending about a dog named Jaggy who was in a GA shelter. Apparently he's 7 years old and is having a very hard time being abandoned at the shelter (and who wouldn't?), no indication why he was there. His picture is below so you imagine the story . All it said was he was at a "rural shelter" waiting for his owner to come back and the whole thing had me crying in my office with the door shut. I would attach a link to the story but my computer (I'm at work) freezes when I try.
I started calling around/searching on the web. I already have three doodles but there was no way I could leave that dog in the shelter another day. I could not locate (rural GA does not really narrow it down any) him but found out late yesterday that he was pulled by a local rescue (Angels Among Us) http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/ and they are now getting him settled in a foster home.
They have him listed as a poodle but he looks doodly to me. He will hopefully have a new home very soon. Passing along in case anyone know someone in the area at might be interested.

So nice of you to ensure he is safe. I am sure he will get a good home soon - he looks like a dood to me too.
I just saw an update on FB - Jaggy is safe, and he is indeed a poodle. But he is on his way to a new, good life! :)
Oh, good! Happy Tails, Jaggy!
Such good news!
Yay! That is wonderful!
Just the picture breaks my heart and I can picture my guys waiting like that. Hooray for the update.
Thanks for posting on the FB update!! All the stories are so sad in one way or the other but this one broke my heart. I think in my mind, I thought "what if it was one of our three" and just lost it. I told The Boys when I got home that regardless of what the future holds for any of us, we may all be eating Old Roy but we will be together.
I totally agree, Cyndi. I always "personalize" way too much but I can't help it!
