I have a friend who would love an australian labradoodle. She keeps Bogart for me when I have to be out of town and is a wonderful "MaMa". Does anyone know of a doodle rescue that would be an option for her?
There are two nation-wide doodle rescues, IDOG http://idog.biz/IDOGRescue.html
and the DRC. http://doodlerescueinc.ning.com/ . If you look at the center of the main page here on Doodle Kisses, near the bottom, you will see all of the doodles available through both organizations, with all the contact info. However, your friend is extremely unlikely to find an ALD puppy through rescue. It has happened, but she'd better get an application on file with both groups now, and be prepared for a long wait.
I second what Karen said... and I wanted to add -- if your friend joins DRC's site they have listings for Doodles in rescues that aren't DRC or IDOG... to help the rescue search narrow down other Doodles that might be in your area.
