rescue or purchase?

After loosing our beloved Luna, I always thought my next doodle was going to be an adoption. We tried for 6 months to find the right adoption situation. Somewhat understandably, rescues are not keen on adopting to households with children. I have girls 8 & 6 so the odds were against us. We finally decided to get our new baby from Luna's breeder. She is still breeding over a decade later. I was so happy when my vet shared how she feels it is just as important to encourage a good breeders success as it is too adopt. We are so happy to have Ghira and to have paid homage to our beautiful Luna and the breeder that brought her into this world. Ghira is doing a great job at filling Luna's huge shoes!!!!

Her name is Ghira Moon. Ghira for Ghirardelli chocolate. (my favorite and she is a chocolate labradoodle)

The Moon is for Luna. : )

Ghira is just beautiful.  Enjoy her :)  I like that you said that through time the question was answered.  For each person, there is a right answer, and that answer is not the same for everyone.  What's important is that you find the dog that will happily share his or her whole life with you.
