He's so cute :) I love the purple. Good luck Sam! I hope they're the family you've been looking for!
I also think that red is "left-over Christmas" if that makes sense? I think the purple is fresh and new right now! Again, Good Luck! I hope you find the bestest "fur-ever" parents ever!
I like the fun purple polka dots. Sam, you are adorable!!
RED :) Good luck, Sam. Sherri, I am proud of your kind and giving nature!!
I like the purple. Makes him look regal.
Sam you look irresistible in red! Best of luck sweet boy.
Oh yes, he looks SO handsome in the red. Fingers crossed.
Thanks for the votes everyone! We went with red and it was a big hit! The folks who came to visit were amazing. So kind and lovely. They brought their 11 yr old border collie and Sam was so gentle and respectful and she liked him (mostly because he let her play with his new toy that they brought him). He definitely was on his best behaviour. They are a retired couple with lots of time and clearly lots of love to give him. House in the country, fenced yard, quiet home, clearly very loving towards dogs. They brought him some treats and a toy. They will be sending me their vet references and then we'll schedule a home visit with them.
He has another meet and greet on Saturday but honestly, I don't know how it could get any better than this. I am over joyed. He's going to wear the purple tie on Saturday so we'll see how it goes ;-)
I'm happy and sad at the same time.
Sounds like a wonderful home, and a very successful meet n greet.
Happy and sad at the same time. Hmmmm. Sounds familiar.

I am made of mush, For one little time you are mine. I am made of steel, I will let you go not without a tear, |
I am crying again! Sherri, you are so strong - I could never do it! Thank you!!!!
such a tear jerker. and describes the situation perfectly...except for the afraid to love part; he was definitely not afraid to love :-)
Yes, I must be made of steel and mush at the same time. I'm getting a bit attached but I'm not going to lie, it's going to be nice to get back to normal as he is a lot of work. He needs to be in a home where the human to dog ratio is a little more balanced so someone can focus on his training needs. He's a good boy, a gentle boy, but a puppy nonetheless.
