My puppy, Scout, has a sensitive stomach. My husband and I have tried different foods but all resulted in loose bowls. She has no major stomach issues and has been cleared from the vet. At this point, we are on a vet diet (Royal Canin Gastrointestinal dog food) for about 6 months and we have not had any issues!! :) However, we would prefer to slowly take her off the vet diet since the price for the dog food is much higher. Any suggestions for sensitive stomach dog food? We have tried different levels of protein and types of protein (beef versus chicken) as well as different brands (store brand versus Blue Buffalo).

Heather, we have a very large, very active group here on DK called The Food Group, where we have dozens of discussions and lots of advice about feeding dogs with sensitive stomachs. Please join us and we'll be glad to help you choose a much healthier and less expensive limited-ingredient food for Scout.
well first off i want to say "how do you know her stomach is sensitive?" is that solely based on soft stool?
our doodle had soft stool for a little bit when she was younger (shes 7 months now) but we kept giving her food that the breeder gave her and shes much better now. however, id say that our dog doesnt really have a sensitive stomach. our other/previous family dogs had sensitive stomachs and they would get all sad and droopy with a combination of throwing up and liquid stool.
plus puppies need to eat high calorie food to gain weight properly. just something to think about.
Hi Heather - your puppy looks adorable! Definitely join The Food Group as Karen suggested and post your question there.
