I just don't want to let this day pass without saying a prayer for all those who died in the attack on 9/11 and for the loved ones left behind. That date will be forever etched in our hearts and I am sure each of us can remember what we were doing that day when we first heard the news.  Take a minute to do a kind deed today in honor of all of the victims of 9/11. Hug a loved one or just count your blessings!  I will never understand this kind of violence and how people get to this point that hurting innocent people benefits their causes in any way.

I said a prayer for all the Rescue Dogs of 9/11 too, many have passed since then but the few that are still around I sent doodle prayers their way too.  Such a sad day :(

It was a very surreal day, and I re-live it every year.  I just remember how blue the sky was as I was driving to work (after the 2 planes had hit).  I remember hearing about the Pentagon hit on my way to work and all I could do was stare at the sky - I just expected to see planes crashing into anything and everything.  I worked in Wilmington, DE at the time, not too far from Dover AFB.  I'm from NY originally, Brooklyn, and my mom still lives on Long Island.  We had a girlfriends weekend at my mom's house one winter and went into the city to see Ground Zero.  It was at least 10 years ago so it was still just a big, smoking hole.  It was quite an experience.  It was also the same weekend the Columbia space shuttle blew up, which we saw on tv.  It was quite the emotional weekend, needless to say.  Thanks for posting - we should always remember!

My husband is a New Yorker, and lived very close. Every time I see the 9-11 pictures I cry. He had friends that were first responders and he   was a high school football coach that lost  former players that their first jobs were in the towers. How sad ,every day...
