Shaved like a Lion?

Has anyone seen the pictures where they shave a doodle to look like a lion?  Has anyone done it? My boyfriend (actually, now fiance, we just got engaged this weekend in Napa!) wants to shave poor archie like a lion. I think he would look really ridiculous, but I like the long hair, and I know archie will be hot in the summer anyways, so MAYBE instead of shaving him, we could make him look like a lion?!  =) ONLY if it grows back quickly!

 Some members here shave their doodle's faces or their whole body so why not a lion? It isn't my taste for a doodle, but they aren't my dogs. I think it would be fine if you wanted to do it - not to make a statement, not to get publicity, but because you want to do something different.  If you don't like it, it will grow. I know someone who colors her doodle's ears and tail bright colors - would I do it? Not my taste, but she gets a kick out of it.  I know someone else who cuts her doodle in a sort of mohawk style which fits her and him perfectly.

Thanks for your responses! I think it looks pretty funny (and semi ridiculous).... It might be something we MAY do in the future to humor my fiance, but most likely not! we shall see =)
